Who was Rabindranath Tagore?

Rabindranath Tagore was a great man, a great poet and a great person. Rabindranath Tagore was born on May 7, 1861. Rabindranath Tagore was born as a Bengali Brahman. Rabindranath Tagore was born in Jorasanko mansion in Calcutta. His early education took place in Calcutta.

Rabindranath Tagore’s mother was Sarada Devi and father’s name was Debendranath Tagore. Rabindranath Tagore was the 14th child of his parents.

Every  year Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti is celebrated the  7th May. Every year Rabindranath Tagore is celebrated as the birthday of Rabindranath Tagore. On this day schools and music academies have song music and general knowledge competitions. Every year May 7 is celebrated as ‘Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti’.

Rabindranath Tagore had met three times in his life with great scientist Albert Einstein. Albert Einstein used to call Rabindranath Tagore as Rabi Tagore.

Nobel Prize

One of the most interesting and glorious things about Rabindranath Tagore is that he is the first Nobel Prize recipient in Asia. Rabindranath Tagore received this honor in 1913 for his poetry composition, Gitanjali.

When and how did Rabindranath Tagore die?

Only a few people will know about the death of Rabindranath Tagore. Rabindranath Tagore died from prostate cancer. Rabindranath Tagore died in Kolkata only on August 7, 1941. As a great poet, patriot, philosopher, humanist and painter, Rabindranath Tagore will always be alive in the heart of every Indian.
